Individual visitors

Reservations for individuals are only accepted online. Please make a reservation using the reservation form on this site.

Cancellation of reservation

Reservations can also be cancelled online. After the reservation is completed, you will receive a “Thank you for your reservation at [Mizkan Museum]” email.
Please use the cancellation URL provided in this email to complete the cancellation procedure.
If you do not receive the email, please contact us by phone.

Persons using wheelchairs/requiring assistance

  • The person needing one (a person who has difficuity walking), the assistance of the wheelchair becomes only the reservation on the Internet.
    *This museum has many steps. Please refer on the telephone if you may be worried.
  • When there are the number of people and estrangement reserved beforehand in the case of a reception desk, I may have entering a building charges for the number of people at the time of the reservation. On the number of people change, I would like notification beforehand.

Travel agent

If there is the request of the reservation from your customer, please ask the customer so that the Internet makes a reservation
(please refrain from a travel agent making a reservation for substitution).
In addition, I may decline a visit when I am proved to be a reservation from the travel agent.

School Tours

Booking Period

Reservations can be made from one month up to six months in advance.
(For example, a reservation for December 1st can be booked anytime between June 1st and October 31st.)

Application Process

Please fill out the required information in the application form at the bottom of the page.
A representative from the Mizkan Museum will contact you by phone within five business days to confirm your reservation.
* Business days are based on the operating schedule of the Mizkan Museum.
* If you do not receive a response, we kindly ask that you reach out to us by phone for assistance.

Important Information (Please Read Carefully)

Details Regarding the Subject

  • This program is available for school groups ranging from 3rd grade in elementary school to high school students (free of charge).
  • Eligible schools must be recognized under the School Education Act, and participation should be part of the curriculum or an educational activity.
  • This form is exclusively for school group reservations. General visitors are kindly requested to use the public reservation page on our website.

Reservation Rules

  • We operate on a fully reservation-based system. Please make sure to complete your application via the online form in advance.
  • Submitting an application does not guarantee a confirmed reservation. After applying, we will contact you by phone within five business days.
  • We do not accept waitlist requests.
  • Reservations made through travel agencies are not accepted. Applications must be submitted directly by the accompanying teacher.

Number of Participants and Supervision

  • The maximum capacity is limited to 120 children and students, excluding accompanying staff.
  • Each class must be accompanied by one to two teachers for supervision.
  • Individuals requiring assistance must be accompanied by a caregiver. Please reserve with the total number of participants, including caregivers.

Information Regarding the Day of the Visit

  • Entry is not permitted for individuals experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or diarrhea.
  • All guided tours within the facility are conducted exclusively in Japanese.
  • Please aim to arrive at the venue approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • The guided tour lasts approximately 100 minutes.
  • Lunch or dining spaces are not available on the premises.
  • Free parking is provided for group tour buses.
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters, tours may be canceled or the facility may close without prior notice.
